Intimate Arkansas Elopement at family home // Prairie Grove, AR

Hannah’s mother reached out to me in finding a photographer for their day. "We are planning a tiny, but important event. Hannah will be getting married here at home in Prairie Grove in the house she grew up in." Hannah and Ryan are both artists. Ryan is a painter who works for a letterpress print company and Hannah is a book binder/paper maker/potter who works for Paper Source. They love the big city but there is nothing like coming home to Arkansas and the natural beauty it offers. Hannah & Ryan wanted nothing more than to have the wedding of their dreams with the most important people by their side. There was no production, just a room full of so much love. She and Ryan said I do in their Kitchen around their family dining room table, and took photos on the porch of her fathers wood working shop where her and her father spent many years making art together. Their house was equivalent to being in an art museum as the entire family has a beautiful gift of creating art.

Hannah and Ryan both got ready in Hannah’s family home. Her mother put her in her dress and surprised her with a beautiful hand sewn message inside her dress. Scroll down to see. It was an emotional moment between the two and I with out a doubt had tears rolling down my face as I quietly documented from the corner of the room. This was one of the most special moments I had witnessed between a mother and daughter.

Hannah greeted Ryan during a first look informally in her living room with her family surrounding them. I could see how emotional the pair was and it made my heart burst. Hannah and Ryan said I do literally surrounded and encompassed by family.
