Modern Thorncrown Chapel Elopement // Eureka Springs, Arkansas

Are you looking for the best place to get married in Arkansas? Are you looking for an intimate space with beautiful architecture, light that pours in through every window but still has modern charm to it? The Thorncrown Chapel is nestled in a beautiful woodland setting in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. A quaint almost hippy town with so much history and charm. It has become one of my favorite places to photograph weddings and elopements at. There are so many options for people who want to get married at the Chapel! Some of my couples will go do portraits before the actual ceremony, have their receptions at the Crescent Hotel or other historic hotels in the area and some will even have a party bus take them back to Fayetteville or surrounding areas for their reception!

Candice & Matt chose to drive in from Oklahoma to have an intimate Elopement to themselves. I can’t really explain the emotions I was having while they exchanged their vows but it was raw, pure and so honest. They were so present with each other and that in itself was humbling to watch. We took our wedding portraits at Lake Leatherwood about 5 minutes down the road from the Chapel before the ceremony. Candice and Matt are the epitome of trendy and the modern day wedding couple! Everything about their style had me swooning. Their ceremony was short and sweet and so intimate. After we parted ways Candice and Matt got a pizza and shared their wedding cake just the two of them at their airbnb they rented.

Covid has truly changed the wedding industry in so many ways. Seeing more intimate and more present weddings has been seriously humbling. (but don’t worry there’s always time for a big party later on :) )
