Country Catholic Wedding // Houston TX // St Joseph’s Catholic Church + Bell Tower on 34th
Mannnn… Where do I even start with this wedding. I will forever hold these special people and this special day in my heart forever. I’ve known Jana since college. We became inseparable during Nursing school and eventually went our separate ways, literally to different states. When she reached out, I had just started my Wedding Photography business and she was the first person who really gave me a chance to photograph my first wedding. Jana has always been like that though. She puts everyone before herself, she loves fierce and seriously has a heart of gold. I am incredibly lucky to call her my friend. I still remember when she met Conner and that big cheesy smile she had that one night we all went out on the town for drinks. I knew I was watching something honest and real unfold but man… I never knew I would be the one to capture the day that unified them as one. I’m so grateful.
Jana has always been my favorite country dancing buddy and she’s always been stout in her faith. This truly was the extravagant yet intimate Texas country Catholic wedding you could imagine. I’m not kidding there was cowboy boots, and rosary beads, and there was two stepping and a nuptial mass. Everything about their day was perfect. Truly it was. She handled everything with grace, and actually had FUN on her wedding day. She put herself in the present moment and never once stepped out of it.
We started at the 4 Seasons in Houston laughing, having mimosas, getting ready and talking about the old times during college. Their ceremony was held at the majestically beautiful St. Josephs Catholic Church. We even got to stop by their newly renovated home they completed themselves and recreate a photo her parents took in front of their home when they were married. We finished the evening at the renown Bell Tower on 34th for toasts, dinner and dancing. & if you can look closely they even had two exits :)
I cried like a baby finalizing and reviewing their gallery and I will always be so touched that this wedding is what carved the path for this humbling job I now have. Hope you enjoy as much as I do.
