Intimate Cabin Wedding on the Buffalo National River in Ponca, Arkansas
Ready to hear about the best place to get married in Arkansas? Ok, I might be slightly biased because my husband and I also got married here but truthfully even if we didn’t I have to say hands down this is my favorite place. If you haven’t ventured out to the Buffalo National River in Ponca Arkansas yet you need to like yesterday. When I moved to Arkansas to date my husband from Austin Texas one of the first things he took us to do was to float the buffalo. (side note, in Texas you float in tubes with as many wine coolers as you can fit in your tube) When we got to the buffalo, it’s kayaks and canoes! Some of my greatest memories here have been camping over night on the riverbeds along the river with the massive bluff lines in the background. - and that’s just how Ashleigh and Logan started their wedding weekend!
Okay now to the wedding part! Ashleigh and Logan took all of their friends floating Friday the day before the wedding! I mean how freaking cool is that?! The next day they spent the morning and afternoon slowly getting ready with their close friends and family at the Cedar Crest Lodge. It’s the most beautiful three story cabin out in the Ozarks! Their ceremony was decorated with dogwood blooms, the river flowing underneath the boardwalk and even had the most amazing band serenade them. I love when I can photograph weddings that truly make me feel in my element. You’ll want to scroll down on this blog and see the guest of honor. He is super fluffy, spunky and had the biggest honor of being the ring bearer.
